Kennedy Cup 2021: Chairmans Address

Kennedy Cup 2021: Chairmans Address

Chairmans Address

It gives me great pleasure to extend my best wishes and those of the Limerick Desmond Schoolboys/Girls Management Committee to our Kennedy Cup Squad and Management as they take on Wicklow next Sunday September 12th at 2pm in Clounreask, to represent the league in this year’s Kennedy Cup. Not only are they representing the league but also their clubs, their families and of course most importantly themselves.

It is of course every players’ dream to play in such a fantastic competition and I would like to not only congratulate the players who will represent the league in this year`s Kennedy Cup but all the players who attended trials and training over the course of the season.

Our sincere thanks to Kieran Shanahan (Manager) and coaches John Canty, Declan Moloney, Mike Keogh, Paul Downes and Dylan Moloney who have put in a huge amount of time coaching and preparing the squad for the tournament.

I would like to thank the parents/guardians for the time and commitment they have put into giving the boys the opportunity to represent the league and I’m sure you are very proud to see your son play in the competition.

A special word of thanks to all our sponsors for your support for this team it is really appreciated.

On behalf of the league I would like to wish the captain Billy O`Gorman and the rest of the team, the very best of luck in the 2021 Kennedy Cup. I hope all the hard work pays off.

Finally, and most importantly I sincerely hope the boys enjoy the experience and can look back with fond memories of an unforgettable tournament of football where friendships were made for life.
