PREVIEW: U16 Girls aim for All Ireland glory

U16 Girls Interleague SFAI All Ireland Trophy Final
Limerick Desmond v South Tipperary
Cahir Park Sunday 30th April 11am KO

The League would like to wish our U16 girls team & management the very best of luck on Sunday as they look to deliver the 2nd All Ireland silverware this season after our U14 Boys won the Cup in March.

Manager Kevin O’Dwyer will look to his more influential players to guide the team to victory on Sunday. Captain Ciara Curtin who scored the winner in the semi final vs MGL and fellow midfield general Kelsey Quinn will look to run the engine room yet again with help from Sarah Curtin & Zoe Kilbridge.

In the path to the final, we played against Dublin side MGL in the Manor Fields in Adare, a tight tense affair decided by an Extra Time winner from outside the box from Curtin. Limerick Desmond will look for goals from their attacking players again on Sunday with the hope of at least one of Gemma Leahy, Kayley O’Dwyer, Emma Harris & Natalia Rybakowski hitting the net.

At the other end, the defence will be marshalled by Lucy MacInnes, Grace Fitzgibbon, Laura Browne, Julia Sobczak & Isabel O’Carroll who along with keepers Murphy & Neville will hope for yet another clean sheet.

Team: Sara Mae Murphy, Hannah Neville, Laura Browne, Lucy MacInnes, Grace Fitzgibbon, Julia Sobczak, Isabel O’Carroll, Kelsey Quinn, Zoe Kilbridge, Ciara Curtin, Emma Harris, Sarah Curtin, Catrina Gabor, Cameryn Moloney, Kayley O’Dwyer, Aoife Geary, Gemma Leahy, Natalia Rybakowski.

Path to the Final:
