U15 Season Underway

U15 Boys Div 1
The U15s league kicked into action last night week with all four games listed taking place. At The Paddocks Ballingarry edged out GB Rovers by five goals to three with Billy Bernie (2), James Meehan, Darragh Tierney and Ben Daly providing their goals. For the visitors Donnadh Daly grabbed a brace with Darragh Mullane also on the score sheet. Kildimo Utd made the journey to Shountrade and won seven two. It was five one at the break with a hat trick from Cian Guinane and further goals from Cian O’Donovan and Jack Butler. Donnacha O’Callaghan and Philip Hennessy rounded off the scoring in the second half. Elsewhere in the division Granagh Utd were five nil home winners against Breska Rovers while Newcastle West Town won three nil away to AK Utd with goals from Luke Palmer, Dan Cullen and an own goal.

U/16 Boys Div 1 
The only game in division one saw Abbeyfeale Utd win seven two away to Shountrade for their second victory in as many games. They led three one at half time with a brace from Adam Murphy and another from Jimmy O’Brien and in the second half player of the match Adam Murphy added four more.

U/16 Boys Div 2 
Athea Utd made it two wins from two with a three two win away to Shannonside with their scorers being Jack Sexton (2) and Evan Curry while Cillian Meade and Tom Swan netted for Shannonside. Ballingarry picked up their first points after a narrow win away to GB Rovers, Liam Molloy from the penalty spot early in the first half getting the only goal of the game. The home side came close on a few occasions when they hit the woodwork twice while the visitors missed a second penalty late on in the game.

U/16 Boys Div 3 
A share of the spoils was the outcome between Breska Rovers and Feenagh last Saturday afternoon after a one all draw in Clarina. Tomas Galvin created the opening for Gary Donegan to open the scoring for Feenagh while they also hit the post in this half. They held the lead till half time while after the break Rovers rallied to get an equalizer through Tommy Lynch.  Both sides had late chances to win the game in the closing stages, but a draw was the final outcome.
