U16 Boys round up week 2

It was the second round of U16 Boys Fixtures in the two divisions, as always thanks to the seven refs who reffed last night, without them we wouldn’t have fixtures.

The Kevin Clifford Construction U16 Boys Division 1

Starting with Division one, Dromore went down 1-0 at home to Broadford Utd who have now got two wins from two with Darragh Moloney getting the goal. Abbeyfeale scored a last gasp winner in an entertaining game in Riverside park, The home side going two goals up with Daven Healy scoring from the penalty spot and Timmy Quirke scoring the second, NCW Town pulled it back to 2-2 in the second half only for Quirke to score a last minute winner to steal the points. In the other game, Granagh hosted neighbours Ballingarry in another entertaining game which ended in another late dramatic goal with Granagh equalizing in the last kick of the game with the match ending 4 all. Paul Murphy, Darragh O’Carroll, Luke Hourigan & Jack Fitzgerald scoring for the home side.

The Issane Stone work U16 Boys Division 2

In Division 2, Feenagh are now top with two wins from two with a comfortable second half performance away to AK Utd, trailing 2-1 at half time, the goals for Utd from Jack Doran & Sean Downes and the Feenagh goal from Ewan Keating, However the away side pulled away in the second half a John O’Leary double and a Gary Donegan double secured the points for Feenagh. Elsewhere, Askeaton are off the mark with a 3-2 win at home to Shannonside. The goals coming for the Red & Black from Shane Ryan & a double from Deren Aksoy, Shannonside pulled a goal back with 5 minutes to go but the home side held on for their first points of the season. Kilcolman Rovers are also off the mark with a tight 2-1 win at home to Athea Utd, Cian Mulcahy put the home side ahead with Louis O Sullivan equalising for Utd however Mulcahy scored in the last minute to give Rovers the win. In the final game played tonight Ballingarry B defeated Rathkeale 3-2 to give them their first points of the season also. Shountrade v Breska Rovers was off due to unavailability of a referee.
